SoMe-Auto is an internal social media operations platform used by authorized Marketing Support Services staff to manage planning, scheduling, publishing, diagnostics, reporting, post history, and community management workflows for authorized social media accounts, including LinkedIn Pages connected through LinkedIn OAuth.

2. Who may request deletion
A deletion request may be submitted by:
- An authorized user of SoMe-Auto.
- A LinkedIn Page administrator.
- An authorized representative of a client or company whose LinkedIn Page is connected to SoMe-Auto.
- A person whose LinkedIn data has been processed through the LinkedIn integration, where applicable.
- A legal or compliance representative acting with proper authority.
We may require verification before processing a deletion request to confirm that the requester is authorized to act on behalf of the relevant user, company, client, LinkedIn account, or LinkedIn Page.
3. How to request deletion
To request deletion of LinkedIn-related data, email us at:
Email: marcel@marketingss.co.za
Subject line: LinkedIn Data Deletion Request
Please include the following information:
- Your full name.
- Your business email address.
- Your company or client name.
- The relevant LinkedIn Page name.
- The relevant LinkedIn Page URL, if available.
- The SoMe-Auto user account or business account involved, if known.
- A short description of the LinkedIn data you want deleted.
- Confirmation that you are authorized to make the request.
- Any supporting information that helps us identify the correct account, Page, or connection.
Please do not send LinkedIn passwords, access tokens, or other sensitive credentials by email.
4. What happens after we receive a request
After receiving a LinkedIn data deletion request, we will:
- Review the request.
- Verify the requester’s authority where necessary.
- Identify the relevant LinkedIn account, Page, connection, post records, analytics records, diagnostics, or other applicable LinkedIn data.
- Disconnect or revoke the relevant LinkedIn integration where requested or required.
- Delete, anonymize, or de-identify the relevant LinkedIn data unless we are required or permitted to retain it for legal, security, platform-compliance, contractual, audit, fraud-prevention, or legitimate operational reasons.
- Confirm completion or explain any limitation that prevents full deletion.
5. Disconnecting LinkedIn from SoMe-Auto
A LinkedIn Page or account may be disconnected from SoMe-Auto by contacting us at:
Email: marcel@marketingss.co.za
Subject line: LinkedIn Disconnect Request
When a LinkedIn account or Page is disconnected:
- SoMe-Auto will stop using the stored authorization to access LinkedIn data for that account or Page.
- Stored access credentials will be removed, invalidated, or disabled.
- Scheduled publishing through that LinkedIn connection will stop.
- Future analytics or community-management pulls for that LinkedIn connection will stop.
- Existing LinkedIn-related records will be deleted, anonymized, or retained only where required or permitted as described in this page and our LinkedIn Integration Privacy Policy.
6. Revoking access directly through LinkedIn
Users may also revoke application access through LinkedIn, where available.
To revoke access through LinkedIn:
- Log in to LinkedIn.
- Go to your LinkedIn account settings.
- Open the section for permitted services, partners, apps, or connected applications.
- Locate the application associated with SoMe-Auto or Marketing Support Services.
- Remove or revoke access.
After LinkedIn access is revoked, SoMe-Auto will no longer be able to use that authorization to access LinkedIn data. If you also want previously stored LinkedIn-related data deleted from SoMe-Auto, please send a deletion request using the instructions above.
7. LinkedIn data we delete
Depending on the request and the account involved, we may delete or anonymize:
- LinkedIn OAuth tokens and connection credentials.
- LinkedIn Page connection records.
- LinkedIn Page identifiers and metadata stored in SoMe-Auto.
- Scheduled LinkedIn posts that have not yet been published.
- Draft LinkedIn post records.
- Failed publishing records.
- LinkedIn publishing history created through SoMe-Auto.
- LinkedIn Page analytics stored in SoMe-Auto.
- LinkedIn post/share analytics stored in SoMe-Auto.
- LinkedIn Page activity data stored in SoMe-Auto.
- Limited LinkedIn member data returned through approved API functionality.
- Diagnostic records that are no longer required for security, audit, troubleshooting, or legal purposes.
8. Data that may not be deleted immediately
Some data may not be deleted immediately if we are required or permitted to retain it for legitimate reasons, including:
- Security logs.
- Audit records.
- Fraud-prevention records.
- Records required for legal compliance.
- Records required to resolve disputes.
- Records required to comply with LinkedIn platform obligations.
- Records required to prove that a deletion, disconnection, or authorization change occurred.
- Data stored temporarily in secure backups.
Where full deletion is not immediately possible, we will restrict active use of the data where appropriate and delete, anonymize, or de-identify it when the retention reason no longer applies.
9. Backups and logs
Deleted data may remain temporarily in encrypted or restricted backups, system logs, or disaster-recovery archives until those systems are rotated, overwritten, or expired according to our normal backup and retention processes.
Backup data is not used for active processing unless restoration is required for security, disaster recovery, investigation, legal compliance, or platform-compliance purposes.
If backup data is restored, we will take reasonable steps to reapply deletion requests to the restored data where applicable.
10. Scheduled posts and published posts
Deleting data from SoMe-Auto does not automatically remove content already published on LinkedIn.
If a LinkedIn post has already been published, it may continue to exist on LinkedIn unless it is deleted directly on LinkedIn or through approved LinkedIn API functionality by an authorized user.
If you want a published LinkedIn post removed, please specify this clearly in your deletion request. We will review whether the post can be removed through SoMe-Auto or whether it must be removed directly from LinkedIn by an authorized Page administrator.
11. Data retention approach
We retain LinkedIn data only for as long as necessary to provide the LinkedIn integration, support authorized social media management operations, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, and comply with LinkedIn’s API terms and data storage requirements.
Where LinkedIn requires a shorter retention period for a specific category of data, we follow the shorter retention period.
We may delete, anonymize, aggregate, or de-identify LinkedIn data when it is no longer required.
12. No sale or independent transfer of LinkedIn data
We do not sell LinkedIn data.
We do not transfer LinkedIn member data to third parties for independent use.
We do not use LinkedIn member data for sales prospecting, recruiting, CRM enrichment, lead generation, audience building, public social-feed display, scraping, or unrelated advertising purposes.
Deletion requests are handled in line with this restriction and our LinkedIn Integration Privacy Policy.
