3. Purpose of the LinkedIn integration
The LinkedIn integration allows authorized users to manage LinkedIn Page-related workflows from inside SoMe-Auto.
The integration is requested for legitimate social media management and community management operations, including:
- Connecting authorized LinkedIn accounts and Pages through LinkedIn OAuth.
- Verifying which LinkedIn Pages an authenticated user is permitted to manage.
- Preparing, scheduling, and publishing approved LinkedIn Page content.
- Displaying publishing status and post history.
- Displaying LinkedIn Page and post analytics where permitted.
- Reviewing LinkedIn Page engagement, comments, reactions, and activity where permitted.
- Supporting diagnostics, token checks, and integration health monitoring.
- Supporting authorized community management workflows for managed LinkedIn Pages.
The LinkedIn integration is not used for scraping, unauthorized data collection, public social-feed display, lead generation, CRM enrichment, recruiting, sales prospecting, or unrelated advertising use cases.

4.1 Page Management
SoMe-Auto requires Page Management functionality to allow authorized users to create, schedule, publish, and manage approved LinkedIn Page content through the platform.
This includes:
- Identifying authorized LinkedIn Pages.
- Preparing Page posts.
- Scheduling Page posts.
- Publishing Page posts.
- Viewing publishing status.
- Viewing post history.
- Diagnosing failed publishing attempts.
4.2 Page Analytics
SoMe-Auto requires Page Analytics functionality to provide reporting and performance review for managed LinkedIn Pages and Page posts.
This includes:
- Page-level analytics.
- Post/share performance analytics.
- Engagement and visibility metrics where permitted.
- Reporting dashboards for authorized internal users.
- Performance monitoring for approved managed accounts.
4.3 Community Management
SoMe-Auto may require Community Management functionality to review and manage LinkedIn Page activity where permitted.
This includes:
- Viewing comments on LinkedIn Page posts.
- Viewing reactions or engagement activity where permitted.
- Displaying limited member or activity context returned by approved LinkedIn endpoints.
- Supporting moderation, response, and review workflows for authorized LinkedIn Pages.
5. Users and access control
SoMe-Auto access is restricted to authorized users.
Users may include:
- Marketing Support Services staff.
- Approved internal managers.
- Approved client/account representatives where applicable.
- Technical administrators responsible for maintaining the application.
Users may only connect LinkedIn accounts or LinkedIn Pages that they are authorized to manage.
Access is controlled through internal account access and operational permissions. Users who no longer require access may be removed or disabled.
The platform is not intended for anonymous users, unrestricted public users, or unauthorized LinkedIn Page management.
6. LinkedIn OAuth flow
SoMe-Auto connects to LinkedIn using LinkedIn’s official OAuth authorization process.

- LinkedIn authenticates the user.

SoMe-Auto does not collect LinkedIn passwords.
SoMe-Auto does not use fake, shared, headless, or unauthorized LinkedIn accounts to access LinkedIn data.

9. What SoMe-Auto does not do
SoMe-Auto does not use LinkedIn API access for prohibited or unrelated use cases.
Specifically, SoMe-Auto does not:
- Sell LinkedIn data.
- Rent, trade, or disclose LinkedIn data to data brokers.
- Scrape LinkedIn.
- Circumvent LinkedIn access controls.
- Use LinkedIn member data for sales prospecting.
- Use LinkedIn member data for recruiting.
- Use LinkedIn member data for lead generation.
- Use LinkedIn member data for CRM enrichment.
- Use LinkedIn member data to build prospect lists.

10. Data storage and retention
LinkedIn data is retained only for as long as necessary to operate the LinkedIn integration, support authorized social media management workflows, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, provide reporting, comply with legal obligations, and comply with LinkedIn API terms and data storage requirements.
Where LinkedIn requires a shorter retention period for a particular type of data, SoMe-Auto follows the shorter permitted period.

11. Data deletion and revocation
Users and authorized account representatives may request deletion of LinkedIn-related data.
Users may also request that a LinkedIn account or Page be disconnected from SoMe-Auto.
When a LinkedIn connection is disconnected or revoked:
- SoMe-Auto stops using the authorization to access LinkedIn data.
- Stored access credentials are removed, invalidated, or disabled.
- Future publishing, analytics pulls, diagnostics, and community-management activity for that connection stop.
- Stored LinkedIn-related data is deleted, anonymized, de-identified, or retained only where required or permitted for legal, security, audit, operational, or platform-compliance reasons.

12. Security controls
SoMe-Auto uses technical, administrative, and operational controls designed to protect LinkedIn data.

Production secrets, real access tokens, real service-account files, production databases, uploaded media, processed client data, logs, and live credential files are not intended to be exposed publicly.
LinkedIn API credentials and live authorization tokens are handled through secure server-side configuration and are not intentionally exposed to end users or public repositories.
